Neutrinovoltaic. The Ultimate Renewable Energy for a Better World
In Italy, Milan hosts a colossal exhibition dedicated to Nicola Tesla, a brilliant engineer and scientist, who can be compared, perhaps, only with such a genius as Leonardo da Vinci. However, all this year in Italy I celebrate and remember the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo. For example, in the Museum of Science and Technology a permanent exhibition dedicated to the Italian genius was opened. Remembering these people whose ideas were ahead of humanity, you think about the purpose of science. For example, Nicola Tesla was an amazing inventor, ahead of his time. He created the first electromechanical high-frequency current generators and high-frequency transformer, multiphase electric machines, the first wave radio transmitter and much more. But most of all he was engaged in wireless transmission of energy, trying so that humanity could have it everywhere and in the right quantities.
Nikola Tesla came to my mind when I spoke with Holger Torsten Schubart, the head of Neutrino Energy Group. He is also trying to improve the life of mankind by giving him new forms of energy, environmentally friendly and ubiquitous. Schubart participated in the COP25 climate conference in Madrid, and upon return we talked to him.
- What significance do you attach to the climate forum in Madrid and what is the purpose of your participation in it?
The format of the World Climate Conference means for me that the problem of global warming is increasingly bothering people. The very representation of the world political elite, including the leaders of many states, suggests that the issue of climate conservation has become equal to the issue of human survival on Earth. Rapid global warming raises the question – is there a future for future generations? If humanity does not introduce new technologies for generating energy, then the future, it seems to me, looks very bleak. Each responsible person and the more successful businessman must constantly ask himself the question – what else can I do, how can I modernize my production in order to reduce energy consumption and reduce harmful emissions?
- And personally, when you ask yourself this question, what else can you do to reduce harmful emissions?
15 years ago, I realized that the process of climate change is becoming inevitable, and with a group of scientists we started working on a technology for generating energy under the influence of cosmic radiation of the invisible spectrum, which as a result was called Neutrinovoltaic technology. For ourselves, at the start of the work, we decided that if scientists learned how to get electricity from the visible spectrum of radiation (sunlight), then there must be a way to get electricity from the invisible spectrum of radiation.
I am pleased with the active participation and I am absolutely surprised at how many people from around the world are struggling here to achieve the best for the next generations. I am here as the CEO of the Neutrino Energy Group, my goal is to conduct conversations and tell people about the possibilities of the latest achievements in the field of physics. Based on these results, we were able to develop a completely new technology for obtaining decentralized energy, capable of generating electric current in the basic mode.
For me, there can be nothing more important than contributing to the preservation of the climate, because what is the use of all the achievements, all the money of the world for us, if we no longer have a Planet on which we can live. I think that many people do not understand that the Rubicon has already been completed and that urgent action is needed. To do this, we should not be afraid to reform, and maybe even, in the end, break down the existing monopoly systems of electric generation based on the burning of fossil fuels, and the power distribution system. Of course, this cannot be done instantly or even in a short period of time, it will take years and even decades of hard
work to achieve the result. And the result for me is the opportunity to live in harmony with nature and myself.
Our company has already come a long way in creating revolutionary “clean” sources of electric energy for the future, but there is an even longer and harder road ahead. We will go through it ourselves, even if there is no support from the leadership of interested countries, but with political support we can go this way much faster. And I want to convey this not only to the government of Germany and the EU, but also to other countries.
We see the concern of the political circles of Germany and the EU in solving climate problems. Thus, the new European Commission under the leadership of Ursula von der Leyen presented its priority task – the “Green Strategy” on climate and energy, requiring investments of € 260 billion by 2030. This is stated in an EC statement circulated on 11/12/2019 in Brussels. I can only welcome this step, only, of course, I need to see how exactly this money will be distributed.
- The issue of providing humanity with a source of clean energy is fundamental to preventing a climate catastrophe?
The energy we use today is the cause of the climate catastrophe! Whenever something is burned, CO2 and other greenhouse gases are produced, which have been released into the atmosphere for more than a century, leading to this terrible situation.
Power generation in the form in which it exists today mainly works on the principle of burning fossil fuels. Water turns into steam, steam drives the turbines, and those, in turn, are electric generators that generate energy, electricity, alternating current, for the transmission of which high-voltage power lines with a voltage of 380,000 V are required. The operating voltage of household consumption is 220 V. However, if you pay attention at home to how your household appliances and lighting bulbs are connected, you will find that they are connected through the adapter, because they need a
constant voltage of several volts. Such manipulations with voltage lead to enormous losses. According to experts, the efficiency of the network with alternating current is 65%, and if the current is supplied from the solar panels, when you first need to convert direct current to alternating current, and then through the adapters of electrical appliances back to constant, then the network efficiency drops to 56%.
Can you imagine how much you can reduce the amount of energy generated, if you increase the energy efficiency of the network? But these are millions of tons of CO2 emitted. There is enormous potential. Our technology allows us to create direct current sources that will be placed inside the body of electrical appliances, i.e. the small energy that the device needs is always taken directly from the environment, nothing else needs to be burned, therefore there are no emissions.
The problem is that we have been burning various types of fuel for electricity for more than 100 years. Over the years, this has been a truly profitable business model. A few days ago, the Saudi oil company ARAMCO went public. I want to make a forecast today, in 20-30 years, the burning of oil will either pay taxes on emissions, or the burning of fossil fuels will be completely prohibited. Part of the accumulated foreign exchange reserves of Saudi Arabia should now be invested in a clean future. Therefore, I invite King Salman to learn about the latest technology. Otherwise, our company, which is also on the stock exchange soon, will defeat this “dinosaur” in less than 20 years.
- Can you briefly describe your proposed Neutrinovoltaic technology?
Neutrinovoltaic technology makes it possible to use cosmic radiation of the invisible spectrum, which arrives on the Earth evenly day and night, for additional excitation of atoms of a multilayer nano-thick coating. The technical novelty and uniqueness of the invention lies in the creation of a multilayer nanomaterial with an increased amount of atomic vibrations. High-energy cosmic neutrinos penetrating the working surface of the plate cause additional microvibrations of the atoms of the nanomaterial.
This effect is sufficient to translate atomic vibrations into resonance. Resonance is a phenomenon of a sharp increase
in the amplitude of forced oscillations, which occurs when the frequency of external influence (high-energy neutrinos + various electromagnetic radiation on Earth, both natural and artificial) approaches some values (resonant frequencies) determined by the properties of the system.
The increase in amplitude is only a consequence of resonance, and the reason is the coincidence of the external (exciting) frequency with the internal (natural) frequency of the oscillatory system. Using the resonance phenomenon, even very weak periodic oscillations can be distinguished and amplified. Resonance as a phenomenon lies in the fact that at a certain frequency of the driving force, the oscillatory system is especially susceptible to the action of this force.
The resonance is removed from the metal foil on which the nanomaterial is applied, in the form of a constant electric current. The appearance of resonance in the oscillatory system allows one to obtain a stable constant electric current, despite the seemingly minimal external effect on the oscillatory system of the nanomaterial.
The simplicity of the invention, the absence of maintenance costs, the compactness of the neutrino source, the ability to operate the source in both basic and maneuvering modes – these properties of neutrino current sources guarantee their widest use in both individual and industrial applications, including use in electric vehicles.
- What could be the geopolitical significance of NEUTRINOVOLTAIC technology?
The geopolitical importance of Neutrinovoltaic technology should not be underestimated. The widespread availability of electricity means less hunger, means water, means light, means education. The resources that we gain access to today are unevenly distributed, therefore geopolitical conflicts arise in the world, and their intensity will increase as these resources are exhausted in the future.
Just imagine the geopolitical consequences of the current situation in the Middle East where the situation in countries such as Iran, Iraq Syria and Saudi Arabia with external influence by the United States of America and Russia is extremely precarious. If this escalates, for example in war, it will undoubtedly have global consequences for the energy markets.
In addition to a possible geopolital development described above, the fact that the demand, through regulations and international agreements fighting climate change, for sustainably generated energy will for the time being always be greater than the supply, certainly with the further reduction of energy generation through the use of fossil fuels, there are also events such as technical failures, hacking of control systems, extreme natural disasters, terrorist attacks and (geo)political trade(dis)agreements (United States of America vs People’s Republic of China) possibly affecting a constant energy supply.
Using our technology, we use the largest of the existing energy fields, the energy field continuously surrounding us, cosmic energy and, of course, solar energy – humanity currently uses only the visible part of the radiation.
We use the entire spectrum of radiation: not only the visible spectrum of the sun, but also the cosmic background radiation, all the invisible rays of light, known and still unknown as well. It has recently been proven that neutrinos have mass, the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded for this proof in 2015, so today we can explain why energy exists, very simply, based on Einstein’s formula.
The energy of one individual neutrino is very small, but the total neutrino flux through 1 cm2 per second of the earth’s surface is 60 billion particles. Our invention consists in the development of special materials that interact with this radiation.
Our energy brings peace to humanity. Thanks to our new technologies, there will be fewer energy wars in the future, because unlimited energy supply can be achieved using Neutrinovoltaic technology and is available to everyone anywhere in the world and without networks, constantly.
We welcome the investment declared by the European Commission in implementing measures for a world without harmful emissions, but we need to assess what exactly these considerable amounts will be spent on? Would it not turn out that the money was spent, but the declared result was not achieved? Now the stake is on expanding solar and wind power generation.
In my opinion, these 2 generations, due to unstable generation and weather dependence, cannot be the basis for future generation, they currently play the role of additional generation to the existing existing generation system based on fossil fuel combustion and will continue to play the same role. This is my deep conviction. I am sure that the technology offered by our company Neutrinovoltaic will turn out to be that golden key that
will open a secret door to the world of limitless energy without CO2 emissions.
- When can you expect to see your technology in action in real life?
This technology is already working flawlessly in the laboratory. At present, the equipment of an automatic line has been designed for applying the invented multilayer nano-thick coating on metal foil, which will allow us to produce work items on an industrial scale. In the end, it is a matter of capital that we invest in this production. I expect the first small products to hit the market next year or in a year. But we are not in a hurry, we want to prepare all the processes properly. In the end, a technology is created that at some point will complement the existing energy system, and then supersede this old energy generation system and completely replace it in a few decades.
